Our Family’s
Homeschool Journey

I’m a homeschool mom to Landon and Emma. Our journey includes everyday learning, friendships, exciting discoveries, service, and milestones—ordinary days and unforgettable moments, all part of our family’s story.

Where it began

Growing up together

Friendships can begin when our children are little and grow with them through the years. As parents, we can give our children opportunities to meet, spend time together, and cultivate those relationships.

I’m so thankful that teaching, serving, and creating opportunities for Emma and Landon have helped them build lifelong friendships. My hope is that, by getting involved in my group and other groups in our community, your children will have opportunities to build lasting friendships, too.

Milestones along the way

A bill passed & dance-night memories
Our children helped write the sweet potato bill, which made the sweet potato Alabama’s official state vegetable. They were there to participate when Governor Kay Ivey signed it into law.

Holding on to these moments

From our first year of homeschooling to Emma’s senior year, there have been so many memories to treasure. We love our homeschool dances, and I’ve loved chaperoning for the last seven years.

Family & community

Costumes, laughter, and people we love

Some of our favorite memories come from joining in, helping out, and spending time with the people who make this community special.
